Family Storage Space is operated by 4284 NE 7th Ave LLC d/b/a 1600 Family Storage Space. This policy explains what information Family Storage Space collects when you visit this website, contact us, or reserve or rent a unit, and how we use, share and protect it.

Information we collect

• Contact details you give us: your name, phone number, email and mailing address.
• Rental details: the unit you reserve or rent, your rental agreement, payments and account history.
• Photo ID: when you rent, a photo of your government-issued photo ID. Software reads its printed details and our team reviews anything it can't confirm; nothing compares or analyzes your face, and we don't use facial recognition. See our Biometric Information Policy.
• Payments: card and bank payments are processed by our payment providers; we keep only what identifies a payment, such as the last four digits of a card.
• Messages and calls: what you write or say when you text, email, chat with or call us, including calls with our phone assistant. Calls with us, including with our phone assistant, are recorded and may be transcribed and summarized by our service providers, including AI providers, to answer you and keep records.
• Website use: the pages you visit on this website and what you enter in its forms.
• When you open a notice link we send you, we record the date and time, your IP address and your browser and device type, to keep a record that the notice was delivered. We keep this with your account records and do not use it for marketing.

How we use it

• To answer your inquiries and send the information you ask for.
• To hold reservations, set up and manage your rental, and take payments.
• To send the texts, calls and emails described in our Terms & Conditions.
• To send offers, only to people who opted in to them.
• To keep the property and accounts secure, and to meet our legal obligations.

Text messages and your phone number

We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in data and consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the business (payments, identity checks, texts, calls and email, and our software), only for that work, and when the law requires it.

How we protect it

Only the people who need your information for their work can see it, behind a sign-in, and it travels over encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while you rent with us, and afterwards for as long as we need it for accounting, tax and legal records. If you only asked about a unit, ask us any time and we will delete your details.

Your ID photo is kept while you rent and until the later of 2 years after your rental ends or 5 years after a lien sale or an unpaid balance, or longer while a claim is open, then securely deleted. If you check your ID but never rent, your ID photo is deleted 90 days after the check (1 year if a payment was taken and refunded, or longer while a dispute is open); we keep only a record that the check happened.

To stop marketing emails, use the unsubscribe link in any of them.

Children

This website is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
